Desmond Kaplan
Desmond is the founder and principal of the firm. He was awarded a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Cape Town in 1975, a Certificate in Development Planning from University College London in 1978 and a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 1980 after which he moved to Israel.
Desmond has specialized in the assembly and leadership of multi-disciplinary teams to provide integrated development planning and implementation of projects; the approach is holistic, emphasizing sustainable development – economic, social and environmental. His work is characterized by a commitment to excellence that includes providing creative and innovative solutions at every level.
Desmond and his wife Diane, a musician, songwriter and teacher, have lived in Yodfat in the Galilee since 1985 where they raised their three children, Naomi, Edan and Mya. Naomi is an interior designer. Edan is a football coach and educator. Mya is a film maker.
